A licensed contractor specializing in sewer lateral replacement is recommended to perform the work. Property owner or contractor needs to contact the Building Department to obtain a sewer lateral replacement permit (Sewer Permit). If the limit of work extends to the public right-of-way, an encroachment permit is required and property owner or contractor needs to contact the Engineering Division of Public Works to obtain the application and permit. Additionally, any work being performed by a Contractor or Subcontractor requires a City of Pacifica Business License and Certificate of Insurance.
